Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, model and filmmaker. Her beautiful beauty and successes in the field of film reflect her talents as a model. After joining in the UFC in 2011, she became known as a household name due to the success that she had achieved inside and outside of Octagon. Namajunas was born June 29, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. Rose was a basketball player as well as kickboxing when she was growing into a young woman. Invicta Fighting Championships was signed by the 18-year-old at the age of 18, and she went on to take home two fights by submission. Dana White was impressed and signed Rose to UFC's strawweight division when she was 22 years of age in December of 2014. Rose has experienced highs and lows in her career, however, she has always come out victorious. Rose was a fighter against Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April 2015. Rose was awarded the Women's Strawweight Title and also won the title of Fighter of the Night. It was the very first time a woman was able to fight a big promotion for a championship. Namajunas continued to have many wins, including two victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
